Haramara Retreat, Sayulita, Mexico 2017
We spent one week in March in beautiful Sayulita, Mexico at the incredible Haramara Resort with sixteen guests. Almost all inclusive, the focus was to unplug and reconnect with yourself, challenge your body, restore your balance, and inspire your life.
Our guests enjoyed:
With optional excursions for snorkeling, horse back riding, surfing, and plenty of sun, sand, and sweat. |
Maui, Hawaii 2014
Our very first retreat was one week on Maui in rented houses on VRBO . We brought a chef down with us, rented two vans, and learned a lot. Over the course of the trip, our 14 guests did 6 yoga classes, 3 cardio strength training sessions, 2 runs, plus biking, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding in the Hawaiian sunshine!
Here’s how we sweated our way through a week in paradise:
A typical day: Mornings began with beach-side yoga, followed by a healthy breakfast, a second workout, and then plenty of free time to explore Maui before a second yoga class and incredible food every night prepared by Molly Flynn. Kyle offered massages right on the beach to help participants unwind.
Fitness and fish tacos: The first (and most challenging) of several cardio sessions led by Kyle was hosted at Aloha Crossfit.
After the sweat-session, the group enjoyed a cool-down in the ocean in Pa’ia and fresh fish tacos at the Pa’ia Fish Market. There is no better feeling after a tough workout then getting to jump into the ocean!
Beach bums:Forget drinks with little umbrellas - beach workouts included sprints on sand, jumping in and out of waves, using a TRX suspension trainer attached to a tree, and discovering that bodyweight workouts are not necessarily easier! Other highlights included a 10K run on Sugar Beach, with many participants hit PRs (even barefoot in the sand!) and a run up the Wailee Ridge Trail in a tropical downpour!
