FAQ

do you offer open gym?

No. We are a private training studio providing personal and small group training. If you’re working out in our space, you’re responsible to a person.

how does the waitlist work for classes?

When you add yourself to the waitlist, you will see what number you are and receive an email confirming your requested spot. If a spot opens up, the first person on the waitlist will be automatically added to class and will receive an email and a text message. If you can not make the class, we ask that you please cancel ASAP so that the next person on the waitlist has a chance to get their workout in. We will waive any late cancel fee for those who cancel their waitlist reservation.

what happens if i need to cancel class or a training appointment?

Appointment times are reserved and cancellations must be made for group training and personal training with a minimum of 12 hours in advance for full refund.

Cancellations must be made for group classes through the app and will be subject to a $15 late cancellation fee with less than 12 hours notice.

No Shows are subject to a $15 fee + loss of the class credit.

HOW DO I CHANGE OR PAUSE MY EXISTING MEMBERSHIP?

Simply fill out this form and we’ll take care of it within 12 hours.

Can I bring my kids to the gym?

We're child-tolerant, not child-friendly—except during specific family events and special programming. We understand that juggling fitness and family life is real, and sometimes bringing the kids along is the only way to get your workout in.

What are the rules for children at the gym?

Children under age 10 must be supervised at all times, with genuine effort made to keep them off the training floor during active sessions. Babies in carriers or strollers are always welcome. For group classes, we ask that children remain off the training floor during warm-ups and workouts—our cement areas provide safe, designated spaces when kids need to be present.

Is there a minimum age for training?

We love working with youth athletes! For our regular Group Training classes, ages 13+ with parent accompanied. For Personal Training, minimum age may drop to 10 years old with parent and coach discussion and evaluation. During the Summer, we offer a special Youth Athlete Group Training Class specifically designed for younger athletes ages 12-17.

Why do you have this policy?

Safety. The training floor during active classes has loaded equipment, kettlebell swings, and dynamic movements that create real risk for unsupervised children. We're committed to setting everyone up for success, which means addressing safety concerns directly rather than hoping nothing goes wrong.

What if I can't find childcare?

We get it. We're not going to make you choose between training and being a parent. What we ask is that you make genuine effort to minimize their time on the active training floor and keep them safely away from moving implements and equipment. We're building your fitness home guided by our value of Person Over Program—meeting you where you are, even when that includes managing kids while prioritizing your health.

Can I get a receipt for wellness reimbursement from my employer?

Absolutely. Just fill out this form and we’ll email you your receipt.

How do I cancel my membership?

While we hate seeing you go, simply fill out this form and please DO let us know if you have any feedback/why you’re canceling.

Why do you enforce class caps?

Our mission is to provide the highest quality, personalized training. That requires adequate equipment, space, and coaching attention for every person in the room. When we set a cap, we mean it—your membership includes the promise of quality coaching and adequate resources, and we take that seriously.

Can I join a class that's already full?

No. When a class reaches capacity, the waitlist opens automatically. Members may not be added to full classes.

I've seen extra people in class before. What's that about?

During our biannual performance review cycles, team members may occasionally observe classes to provide peer feedback and professional development. In these cases, the additional person is there to enhance your experience through extra coaching support—they don't take equipment or spots from paying members. This only occurs during designated review periods.

What if I really need to get into a specific class?

We honor High Standards, Low Ego—class caps are enforced to maintain training quality and safety. Check the waitlist, explore other class times, or reach out to us directly if you're having trouble finding spots that work with your schedule.

Are you a CrossFit Gym?

No, but we have a lot of the same tools, use some of the same vocabulary, and you’ll find a lot of former Crossfitters in our community. We offer functional training in a non-competitive, highly personalized and adaptable environment with classes capped at 10 (with exceptions of classes with 2 or more coaches).

how do I see my Class reservations and/or training appointments?

While you can login to your account via a web browser, we don’t recommend it. You can download our app for iOS here and for Android here.

If I’m doing Personal Training, does that also include programming I can do outside of NWFP?

Yes! Let your trainer know that this is something you’re interested in.

Is NWFP dog-friendly?

We're a dog-loving gym, not a dog-friendly gym. Non-service animals are not permitted in the gym during active sessions.

Are there any exceptions?

Life happens, and we extend the same flexibility to our community that we'd want extended to us. In rare circumstances when bringing a dog is necessary, pets must remain on cement areas only, stay in designated non-training spaces, and be immediately removed if causing distraction or stress.

What happens if a dog is being disruptive?

We'll address it directly. If a situation isn't working—excessive barking, visible stress, or disruption to training—your training time matters, and maintaining focus and safety is non-negotiable.
