youth athlete training

Building the foundation. Shaping the athlete. Supporting the whole person.

Whether your athlete is chasing a spot on the varsity roster, recovering from their first season, or simply discovering what their body is capable of — they've come to the right place.

At NW Fitness Project, we believe every young athlete deserves expert coaching in an environment where they feel safe to try, fail, grow, and succeed. Our Youth Athlete program pairs Seattle's most dedicated coaches with athletes ages 10–18, offering both private 1:1 training and a structured summer group class designed to build real, lasting athletic foundations.

I had little prior experience in lifting however wanted to improve my speed for the high school track season and quickly found Zoie! She was so friendly and welcoming and I quickly felt comfortable and became excited about our engaging training sessions. Each workout pushed me and I could immediately see the results in my explosiveness and speed, accomplishing my goals and more. Zoie would respond to me whenever I needed it and worked with me to make plans to help me succeed anytime - whether it be on vacation, for the off season or with limited equipment. Whenever there was an important moment in my season, she would show up to the meet to cheer me on which showed her dedication and constant support. She truly made me love going to the gym and taught me how to properly lift and I am forever grateful for everything I learned!”

Choose Your style:

  • Individualized coaching for the athlete who's ready to take it to the next level.

Private personal training is the most direct path to sport-specific results. Our coaches Zoie and Steven bring extensive experience working with young athletes across a wide range of sports and skill levels, building programs that are as unique as the athlete in front of them. Sessions are designed around your athlete's sport, season, and goals — and adapt in real time to what they need most.

From injury prevention and mobility to speed, strength, and sport-specific conditioning, 1:1 training gives young athletes the focused attention and personalized plan that group settings simply can't replicate. Our coaches also stay in close communication with athletes between sessions, helping them navigate off-season training, vacation workouts, or the week before the big meet.

Our Approach to Youth Athletic Development

We take youth athlete coaching seriously — because the habits, confidence, and relationship with movement that young athletes build in their formative years follow them for life. Our approach is rooted in two of our core values:

Person Over Program: We design every session around your athlete, not a generic template. Goals, sport, season, experience level, and even what kind of day they're having — all of it matters to how we coach.

Human-Powered Change: Our coaches don't just show up and run workouts. They build relationships. They cheer at meets. They text back. They make young athletes feel seen — and that's what makes the difference.
